SANTET was formed in Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia. Since 1993 SANTET guerrilla in Underground music scene by performing the initial concept that is Death Trash Metal. Then, since May 5, 1997 SANTET changed the musical concept into Pure Black Metal. While the word 'SANTET' itself means 'black magic very nasty, well-known in Java as a means to kill someone with the help of spells and power of the devil'. SANTET was first formed by the leader, Budi Black Ustadz along Rudy Hailstorm. Indonesian Underground scene in the midst of SANTET became better known after the show itself as a standard bearer Javanese Black Metal. In January 1999 SANTET released their debut demo titled "Creatures of Darkness". In the same year, also released a split album SANTET "Dowry Prohibition Forest" with Drosophilla (Gothic Horror Doom band from Jogjakarta), which sold to Indonesia and other countries more than 2000 copies. SANTET, also took part in the compilation album "Metallic Klinik Vol.3" by performing the single 'Roh Rowo Rontek'. This compilation album released by Rotorcorp and distributed by PT.Musica (one of major label in Indonesia) in February 2000 and sold more than 50,000 copies. Then, SANTET make an indie album "Enthroned The Black Domain" in November 2001. SANTET also include songs by them in some other compilation albums such as "Neohellist" released by ESP Bandung, "Legion Timur", "Tribute To rotor " 'My Name is SANTET' is released on the compilation "Tribute to rotor " and many more works of SANTET for doing business in Indonesia Underground scene.
