It started from a band named Red Plat that was formed around 2004. After 2 years of music, Leo, Yuki, Rusdi, and Jay felt that they can be no longer together with the two other members, just because there was a family matter among the second guitarist and keyboardist Around 2006, the four ex Red Plat decided to form a new band, a speed metal band that would be independent from anything like they experienced before. The name Archangel itself comes from Leo, the lead vocalist admires the leader of angels very much, so he suggested "Archangel" to be the name of the band.
